VOLCANIC RIFLE - CARBINE

This is a very good condition and standard configuration Kenansville enlisted-man's cavalry saber. Based on the number of surviving examples, the Kenansville or Confederate States Armory in North Carolina was probably one of the top two makers of cavalry sabers in the Confederacy. COLT REVOLVING SHOTGUN, MODEL 1855
This is an extremely fine condition Colt Revolving Shotgun that retains 98% original blue on its barrel mixing with tiny specks of raised rust and staining. The muzzle shows about 5/8" of extreme rust about its circumference where the gun apparently was leaning, muzzle-pointed-down for a very long period of time. The Virginia Manufactory of Arms produced three types of these swords from 1804 - 1821 for the State of Virginia Cavalry, with slight variations to each.
