This is a very strong condition iron six-pounder cannon barrel made by the Fort Pitt Iron Foundry and dated 1836. The Fort Pitt Foundry was a nineteenth-century iron foundry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, originally established at Fifth Avenue and Smithfield Street in 1804 by Joseph McClurg. This is a fresh-to-the-market, untouched, rectangular CSA belt-plate buckle that came with this period belt. This is a totally untouched, "in-the-black" Large Frame Volcanic Pistol that is dirty, dusty and grimy with dried grease and oil covering it. What's really great about it is there's a bunch of original blue on the barrel, perhaps as much as 70 - 80% mixing with brown patina and some fuzzy rust spots that I think will come right off.
