This is a wonderful, Confederate Mitchell and Tyler Foot Officers Sword that was partially manufactured by Boyle & Gamble for the famed Jeweler and Outfitter of Military Products in Richmond, Virginia during the conflict. Another great item out of my personal collection, it is the best example I and many other collectors have ever seen. The maker mark in the face of the guard is in near-perfect condition, the grip is excellent with a few tiny flakes to the leather surface and the blade shows much original brightness and virtually NO WEAR. Boldly marked on the riccasso, this fine Courtney & Tennent Naval Cutlass has an excellent blade reatining most of its original polish. FROELICH CONFEDERATE STAFF SWORD
This example is one of the finest known Froelich Confederate Officer's Swords to exist, retaining 95%+ original red paint on the scabbard and "zero" dents with some spots of corrossion and age showing.
