This is a Confederate made combination Bowie Knife / Bayonet. It is thought that these were made by Cook and Brothers by many in the field but there are no solid references as to originality and production numbers. This one shows sharpening, corrosion and cleaning to the blade that has now patinaed. The grip is excellent.
