This is an attic mint, 1862 dated Springfield, fully sub-inspected and showing a trace of the cartouche. It has not been cleaned or enhanced in any way, shape or form. All metal surfaces are relatively free from nicks, dings and corrosion. They are just covered with dried up grease. The wood is very fine. The only blemish to the gun is a broken-off sling swivel to the middle band.
