With the outbreak of the American Civil War, Confederate Arms Purchaser Caleb Huse contracted with the London Armory Company to produce all of the Kerr’s Patent revolvers that they could for delivery to the Confederacy. This is a fairly good condition 1853 Sharps Carbine, also known as the "John Brown" model for its association with the famed abolitionist.
