Butterfield Revolvers are one of the more difficult types of Civil War Revolvers to find today. This example is in very good condition, right from the attic and in much better condition than average. The brass frame is an outstanding, deep-dark patina as are all the steel parts. The grips show the usual chips out of the front toes and it is missing its priming mechanism (as most of them seem to be). A collector will have a tough time finding a more pleasing example as this gun is completely untouched.
